about me

I am a 22 year old art student finishing up my last semester of college. Books and art are both part of who I am, they give me purpose. They bring me happiness and wholeness. Not all of my art is about books, and not all of the books I read are about art.. but I love when my two passions mesh.

My Books. I love to read young adult. I love when you read a book and it stays with you for days and you can’t get it off your mind nor do you want to. I love when I can read a book in a day. I love the way books look when they’re lined up on a shelf. I love the way it feels to turn the pages. They keep me company, these stories and characters. 

My Art. My art is about telling and retelling a story. The books that I read inspire me to create a conversation the only way I know how, visually. There are concepts, ideas, or even quotes in books that have such an effect on me, or reflect my life so much that I need to express myself visually to understand better. I use mixed media and work on both paper and canvas. I also experiment with photography as well.
